In my case, I had arranged a transfer from Gili Trawangan to Padang Bai, followed by a private transfer to my hotel in Ubud. The staff in Gili Trawangan assisted me with the check-in in the morning and accompanied me to the pier entrance. In Padang Bai, the driver contacted me on WhatsApp with all the necessary details and welcomed me with a big sign with my name on it. The journey from the port to the hotel was very pleasant: about one and a half hours that passed by without me even noticing, thanks to the driver’s friendliness and great conversation. Wayan it’s his name (: Additionally, all the staff spoke excellent English, so there were no communication issues at all. An impeccable service that I can highly recommend, especially because it is much more affordable than other tour operators or agencies offering the same service, sometimes even at double the price.
